At the last TNA Wrestling Pay-Per-View, “Victory Road”, we saw the return of Dustin Rhodes to TNA as he attacked “Wildcat” Chris Harris, allowing Christian Cage to get the win. Dustin’s weapon of choice that night was handcuffs. On the following Thursday on iMPACT!, fans witnessed Dustin again attack Harris during a tag team bout, this time with a steel chair.

The last time Dustin was in TNA he didn’t have a beef with Harris. In fact, Harris and Rhodes teamed up on several occasions. Is there some bad blood between Chris Harris and Dustin Rhodes that we don’t know about?

Rhodes could just be making a name for himself by getting rid of an up and coming star like Harris. Rhodes could possibly resent someone like Chris Harris, a longtime TNA star that believes he is ready for the big time and the main event spotlight.

In my opinion I think this all has a lot to do with Dustin’s quick rise and pressure put on him early in his career. Dustin’s first pro wrestling debut was in 1988 and from the beginning he was considered by many to be “the next big superstar” in the sport. Main event spots and title runs followed. Dustin had all this on his shoulders, plus he was living in the shadow of his father’s career. When you look at the rollercoaster ride Dustin has been over the years I wonder today if Dustin resents Chris Harris for being where he once was.

So, jealousy could be causing Dustin Rhodes to physically attack “The Wildcat”. Or is it something else? What brought Dustin back to TNA and what is motivating him to go after Chris Harris? Perhaps we’ll find out this Thursday night on “iMPACT!” when Rhodes speaks out for the first time about his actions.
